dont have a clue why, every other site i try and go on works fine
but today everytime i try and load the sr homepage, its take ages to load and eventually comes up with a message saying
"problem loading page"
"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

I got the same problem - check my post. I'm a BRAND NEW buyer, so now I'm gettin' paranoid. This sucks!

I've literally been connected since yesterday and am starting to get the same problem now. Nothing to worry bout tho, happens a bit.

Yeah, I've been connected since yesterday too. I wonder if they have a problem with users staying connected to the site for long periods of time. It took me SO long to get the whole TorBrowser things up and running, so I'm damn well not shutting it down (I'm sure I didn't configure it right, because if I close it, it "disappears" and I have to dig through my files to find it, and MAYBE it will open up). Sure hope I can check my order statuses soon. Sheesh!

If you do stay connected tho make sure you change identity regularly. In some cases it helps with the problem loading page thing too

not tried again yet this evening, but ive got hope
its not the first time its happened... just be nice to know what to do when it does happen haha
pretty long not being shit hot with computers lol struggle with me calculator at work sometimes

Vidalia control panel - select new identity and try loading it again. It was only about 5 minutes before i could get back onto SR

I'm having the same problem, about 24hrs now,tried all of the above but no joy. Iv also tried linking directly through vendor pages but it still times out.......
Iv had a look on the tech page and it appears that mostly mac users are experiencing this, anybody have any clue as to what could be going on or another method??

Please explain what you mean with 'change your identities regularly'? Im a noob as far as the whole tor thing goes even tho I've been using this site for a year,i just use orbot and orweb or similar.
Ive been trying to log into my account but just getting a blank screen,password works etc but blank screen apart from SILK ROAD ANONYMOUS MARKET at the top. No pictures,writting or account info,just deposited 40 coins as well but cant use them.

Some mod should sticky a post titled something like "I'm an idiot who can't get on SR..."
And then in the post you detail how they should use http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/home instead of http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/ if they can't get on, and how to 'Use a New Identity,' since people seem to forget how to click a button these days, etc etc.
Just saying, I see one of these posts every day "OMG DOES SILF RAOD NOT WURK 4 ANYONE ELSE?!?"

Any other ideas bones? I've tried all that and the usual logging off etc and even came back two days later and still nothing. Now I have an order that has now been automatically finalised and I have not received, and looks like I won't be anytime soon. So fkn frustrating everytime I try to log on there is always something new and fucked up with silk road preventing me.

not sure bones is really in the mindset to be helpful
try use the link he posted http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/home
if not, open a new tab, click use new identity on the control panel. then use that link above. fingers crossed for ya pal
if your still having problems, close the tor browser. click stop tor. then re-open tor browser and go straight to silk road homepage.
if your still having problems, go to your internet settings and extend the page loading time if you can, sometimes tor can run too slow and actions time out

Recently I couldn't connect to SR for 4-5 days :-\
Then someone on the forums (thanks again anonaddict!) said that if the time on your system is wrong, that could prevent you to access some .onion sites. Turns out, that was my problem. Hope it helps, good luck

Another suggestion - are you using any ad blocking software? I was having trouble connecting to SR a few weeks ago, and it was the ad blocking software that I use (AdMuncher) that was the culprit. Their ad filters suddenly started blocking Tor sites one day. Disabling the app while I use Tor solved the problem.

Thanks for the advice guys. It started working again today, still not sure why it keeps doing that but the time loading sounds very feasible I'll have a look, cheers.
